Short, practical answers to the questions people ask most about BondBridge — your private companion for the relationships that matter. Jump to a topic, or scroll through the FAQ below.

Getting started

How do I get started with BondBridge?

You can go from zero to your first nurturing moment in about ten minutes. Create an account with your name and email, set a 4-digit PIN for quick access, optionally do a one-tap mood check-in, and then take the personality quiz. Finally, tap the + button on your Dashboard to add your first person. You don't need to fill in everything at once — even a name and relationship type is enough to start getting useful nudges.

What is BondBridge — and what is it not?

BondBridge is a private, personal tool that helps you show up for the people who matter. It tracks what matters to your people, suggests personalised actions, surfaces unspoken expectations, and helps you find the right gift. It does not message anyone on your behalf, connect to their phones, share your data with your circle, or send notifications to others. It helps you be more intentional, never more intrusive.

Privacy & security

Is BondBridge really private?

Yes — privacy is the founding principle. Your relationships are some of the most personal data that exists, and BondBridge treats them that way. Everything you track is visible only to you. We never send messages to your circle on your behalf, never share your relationship notes with other users, never sell your data, and never use it for advertising. The people you add don't have accounts or access to your data unless they sign up independently themselves.

What about my PIN and my chats with BB?

Your 4-digit PIN is a quick-access layer on your own device — only you know it, and if you forget it you can reset it through email login. Your conversations with BB are never shared with anyone, not other users and not people in your circle. Gift suggestions BB shows you are marked "only visible to you," and the expectations you track stay private to you.

Your people

How do I add someone to BondBridge?

From your Dashboard, tap the + button next to "My People." Give them a name and choose your relationship (partner, parent, friend, colleague, and so on) — that's all you need to begin. Over time you can enrich their profile with their love language, personality type, interests, a photo, and important dates like birthdays and anniversaries, which BondBridge surfaces ahead of time so you're never caught off guard.

What are the tabs on a person's profile?

Each person has five tabs. Overview shows their love language, personality summary, hobbies and key dates. Chat is a private log of your real conversations and notes. Actions tracks everything you've done for or with them — calls, gifts, visits. Expectations — the most powerful tab — holds what you expect from them and what they expect from you. Gifts shows suggestions matched to their profile. The more context you add, the more relevant every nudge becomes.

Love languages

How do I find someone's love language?

Open a person's Overview tab and, under the Love language section, tap Do the quiz →. A short chat-based observer quiz runs right inside the tab — no screens to navigate. You'll choose whether you're observing a child or an adult (each is 20 questions), then answer from your own observations. When it finishes, a result card shows the winning love language with a breakdown chart, and the result is saved to their profile automatically. You can share or save the card, or retake the quiz any time.

Expectations

What are expectations, and why do they matter?

An expectation is a specific, recurring need in a relationship — something you quietly assume ("they should message when running late"), something you've agreed on ("we talk every Sunday"), or something you've never said out loud but feel when it's missing. BondBridge tracks these in both directions — what you expect from others and what they expect from you — so you see the full picture before unspoken needs turn into friction or resentment.

How do I add an expectation?

Go to a person's profile, open the Expectations tab, and tap + Add. Write it in plain language, exactly how you'd say it to yourself — for example "call me more often." BondBridge turns your raw input into a gentle, personality-matched nudge that feels natural rather than demanding. A good tip: be specific, start with just two or three per person, and review them monthly from Me → Expectations to prune anything no longer relevant.

Nudges & daily moments

What are the daily nudges I see?

Your Dashboard surfaces small "nurturing moments" — gentle, actionable suggestions built from the expectations and dates you've set. For example: "Call to check in — it's been 12 days since you last spoke," or a warm reminder around an upcoming anniversary. You can log a moment as done, or snooze it. Nudges are tuned to each person's love language when you've set it, so a suggestion for someone who values Acts of Service reads differently from one for someone who needs Words of Affirmation.

Circles & groups

What are circles for?

Circles let you manage a group of people who share a context — a family, a friend group, a work team, or a couple. Each circle has its own group chat, a shared calendar of birthdays, anniversaries and events, polls for group decisions, a Meal Planner for coordinating shared meals, and a media gallery. A person can belong to more than one circle. Circles work best when they reflect a real shared context rather than "everyone I know" — start with one and expand as you need to.

BB, your companion

What can I ask BB?

BB is your private chat companion — a friend who knows your people, their profiles, and your own personality. Ask things like "What needs my attention today?" for a summary of pending expectations and upcoming occasions, "Gift ideas for Emma — it's our anniversary" for curated suggestions, "I just had coffee with Dad" to log a moment, or "Remind me to call Mum on Sunday." BB understands natural language — no special commands needed — and gets better the more context you give it.

Hey BB in any chat

What is "Hey BB"?

Beyond the dedicated companion, you can get private help from BB inside any personal chat or group circle. Just start your message with "Hey BB" (or "Hey Bondbridge"). A pulsing 🔒 Private indicator appears, and your message plus BB's reply stay completely hidden from everyone else in the conversation. It works in personal chats, group circles, and the Meal Planner. Every Hey BB exchange is saved to your BB Conversations hub so you can review past advice any time.

Gifting with GiftBridge

How does BondBridge help me find a gift?

GiftBridge is a curated gift marketplace where every suggestion is matched to a specific recipient's personality, love language, interests and wishlist — not the most popular products, but the most personally relevant ones. Open a person's profile, tap the Gifts tab, and browse the matches, filtering by category if you have something in mind. You can also just ask BB "Gift ideas for [name]." Dedicated vendors offer a 1:1 chat so you can ask about personalisation or delivery before you buy.

The personality quiz

What does the personality quiz measure?

The quiz maps who you are across six relationship dimensions — attachment style, expression style, approach to challenges, conflict style, rhythm, and energy. It's 60 questions and takes about ten minutes; your progress saves as you go, so you can pause and resume. The result is a personality type code (one of 16, like ENFJ or ISTJ), a plain-language summary, and a shareable card. That result is used throughout BondBridge to personalise nudges and match gifts. You can even try it in guest mode without an account — create one to keep the result permanently.

Account, PIN & your data

I forgot my PIN — how do I get back in?

Your PIN is just a quick-access shortcut on your device. If you forget it, log back in with your email and password to reset it. Your account and all your data remain intact.

How do I delete my data?

You're always in control of your own data. Deleting resets everything — profiles, expectations, and chat history — and cannot be undone. Nothing you track is shared with your circle, sold to third parties, or used for advertising, so deletion only affects your own private copy.
