What we collect
We collect the information you actively provide: your name, username, email address, and verified phone number. We also collect profile data you choose to build — relationship notes, expectation records, personality quiz answers, love language quiz answers, cultural profile quiz answers, and daily insight responses. We do not sell your data.
Your phone number
A mobile number is required to create an account. It is verified via a one-time SMS code, stored in a format unique to your account, and used for account security and to prevent duplicate registrations. It is never shared with other users or used for marketing.
How we use AI — and what data it sees
BondBridge uses artificial intelligence in several ways. Here is what each one involves:
Your Pal (public chat widget). When a visitor sends a message on your public Pal page, that message — along with a structured summary of you — is sent to DeepSeek (a third-party AI provider at deepseek.com) to generate a reply. The summary contains only the fields you have enabled in your Pal toggle settings. If you have switched off a field (e.g. personality type, love language, or hobbies), it is not included. Raw notes about your contacts are never sent.
BB Companion (in-app assistant). Conversations with the in-app AI companion are stored in our database and used to personalise future suggestions. You can rate replies with thumbs up / thumbs down; this feedback is stored and used to improve future response quality (a practice called RLHF — reinforcement learning from human feedback). Companion exchanges may also refine your behavioural profile over time.
Personality & behavioural profiles. Your personality quiz results (based on the MBTI+ model), love language quiz results, and cultural profile quiz answers are stored and used to shape how the AI communicates with you and on your behalf. The type label itself is never exposed to visitors or sent as a label to AI systems — a behavioural description derived from it is used instead.
Knowledge gaps. If a visitor asks your Pal something it cannot answer from your profile, that question is logged as a "knowledge gap" visible only to you in your Pal settings. This shows you what visitors want to know about you so you can fill in the gaps.
Daily Insight answers. The A/B choice questions in Daily Insights are stored and used to personalise gift suggestions and relationship nudges through GiftBridge.
Your controls
You control which profile fields are shared with any AI. Toggle switches in your Pal settings let you include or exclude personality type, love language, cultural profile, hobbies, and other attributes. Disabled fields are never sent to any AI system. Changes take effect immediately.
Third-party AI providers
BondBridge currently uses DeepSeek (deepseek.com) to power Pal chat responses. When a Pal message is processed, the structured context you have enabled and the visitor's message are transmitted to DeepSeek's API over an encrypted connection. DeepSeek's own privacy policy governs how they handle data on their infrastructure. We do not send personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number) to DeepSeek — only the structured profile context you have toggled on.
Data retention
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion, all personal data — including your profile, conversation history, quiz answers, knowledge gaps, and AI feedback ratings — is permanently removed within 30 days. Knowledge gaps are visible only to you and are deleted when you request removal or when your account is deleted.

For any data-related requests, email [email protected]. For users in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your data under GDPR. You also have the right to object to AI-based profiling — disabling all Pal toggles and discontinuing use of the BB Companion opts you out; historical data is deleted upon written request.

Acceptance
By creating a BondBridge account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. BondBridge accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred.
Permitted use
BondBridge is intended for personal relationship management. You may not use it to harass others, scrape data, or reverse-engineer the platform.
Content you add
Notes and information you add about your relationships are private to you by default. You retain ownership of your data. By storing it with us, you grant us the right to process it solely to deliver the service.
Limitation of liability
BondBridge is provided in good faith as a productivity and wellbeing tool. We are not liable for relationship outcomes, emotional decisions made using the platform, or service interruptions.
Changes to these terms
We will notify you by email at least 14 days before making material changes to these Terms.
